A Brief Analysis of the Principle and Characteristics of Automatic Backwashing Disc Filter

The working principle of the automatic backwashing disc filter 1. Regularly backwash the sewage Regular sewage cleaning can be set to take place every 2 to 24 hours. At the set time, the electric actuator will open the sewer valve for filtration The sewage is discharged for 30 to 60 seconds. Then, the electric actuator rotates the butterfly valve 90 degrees to block the filter position, change the water flow and perform backwashing. Dirty 30 to 60 seconds. When the steering butterfly valve is reset, the drain will continue to discharge for 3 to 5 seconds, and the exhaust port will close. 2. Differential pressure control sewer. The motion value of the differential pressure controller can be set at 0.03-0.07MPa. When the differential pressure before and after filtration reaches the setting of the differential pressure controller, the differential pressure will be controlled The device operates, opening the filter discharge valve, closing it for 30 to 60 seconds, resetting the steering butterfly valve, continuing to drain for 3 to 5 seconds, and then closing the drain valve. 3. Manual control. The cleaning and dirt removal can be directly controlled through the buttons on the control box. Technical parameters of the automatic backwashing disc filter product The shell material is carbon steel and stainless steel The filter material is stainless steel The sealing material is oil-resistant asbestos blue rubber Operating temperature: -30-380-80-450 Working pressure (MPa) : 0.6-5.0, 0.6-5.0 Filtration accuracy: 10-300 Principle of automatic backwashing disc filter 1. Job filtering When in normal operation, the water flow directional valve is open. The water to be treated flows out from the drain outlet through a filter. Small particle impurities and suspended matter in the water deposit near the exhaust port due to inertia. 2. Rinse the sewage During normal flushing, the water flow direction valve is open. The filter opens the valve at the exhaust port when the amount of particulate impurities and suspended solids in the water reaches a certain level. That is to say, due to the effect of water, the impurities adhering to the filter screen collection part will be washed away until the water becomes clear. Close the valve of the exhaust port again to enter the normal working state. 3. Backwash wastewater During backwashing, the water flow direction valve is closed and the drain valve is open. Due to the differential pressure effect, the water flows through the front half of the filter and then enters the outside of the filter and the middle layer of the shell. Due to the differential pressure effect, it enters the interior of the filter in the opposite direction from the outside of the network to clean the impurities adhering to the mesh and is discharged from the air outlet, achieving the purpose of cleaning the filter screen. When the steering valve is closed, the flow rate of water increases after passing through the rear seat valve, resulting in a good backwashing effect. The function of the automatic backwashing disc filter: The filtration accuracy can be selected at different levels. Semi-cleaning is convenient, takes a short time, has a small flow rate and low pressure loss. Intelligent selective control system The entire usage process is constantly flowing. High-precision filtration ensures stable water quality. The filter has a long service life and does not need to be replaced frequently. It is easy to install and use, and has a long service life. It can be applied to different raw water qualities and water requirements. There are few fragile components, no consumables, low operating costs and simple operation management.

What are the functions of the automatic backwashing disc filter

In recent years, with the increase in the number of supports, the number of backwash filters, which are one of the important components applied in hydraulic support systems, has also been on the rise. At present, many problems have emerged in the application of imported filters from abroad in domestic brackets. For instance, components are significantly distorted and deformed during use; The flow rate of the filter element decreases, the liquid resistance increases, it is prone to clogging, the movement of the support slows down or stops, which seriously affects the productivity of the comprehensive working face. In this case, our center has developed and produced manual backwashing filters, which have achieved excellent results in underground use. However, due to the manual operation mode, the labor intensity of miners remains high and the production efficiency has not been significantly improved. Therefore, in order to meet the high-yield requirements of modern coal mines, it is necessary to make breakthroughs in design, reduce labor intensity and improve production efficiency. So, let's take a look at the functions of the automatic backwashing disc filter together!

The difference between self-cleaning disc filters and automatic backwashing disc filters

It is composed of filter units combined in parallel. This filter unit is mainly made up of a ring-shaped reinforced plastic filter with grooves and edges. During filtration, wastewater enters from the outside, and the rings formed at the edges of adjacent filter disc grooves capture solid substances in the water. During backwashing, water flows from the inside to the outside of the annular basin to wash away the dirt captured by the basin and is discharged from the outlet. Now let's take a look at the differences between the self-cleaning disc filter and the automatic backwashing disc filter together! The discs are tightly compacted and overlapped within the unit. The middle grooves between the upper and lower discs serve to filter and cut off. Working principle The disc filter is a self-cleaning filter that adopts multiple technologies. It is more water-saving and land-saving in installation and use, and requires less daily maintenance. The design of the filter element without springs is adopted. The water pressure that flows back and forth skillfully during filtration is utilized to press the disc group, significantly reducing the pressure requirement for backwashing. It is equipped with a built-in duckbill valve. The filter element ensures the maximum water output during filtration while also providing a good check valve function during backwashing. The split-type filter element frame has the function of flexibly adjusting the height of the filter element and the filtration area according to the design requirements, and can meet the combination requirements of different systems. Abandoning the design of commonly used metal hoops, the filter unit adopts a sealing ring with self-locking fasteners. The installation and disassembly of the filter unit shell are simple, and the sealing effect is good. Each filtration unit is equipped with a status display device for filtration and backwashing as well as an automatic exhaust device, which can prevent damage from water hammer and improve the backwashing effect of the filtration elements at the same time. The raw water flows from the outside to the inside when passing through the filter unit, and impurities larger than the tank are blocked from the outside. The central component of the automatic backwashing disc filter is the overlapping plastic filter. The filter has grooves or edges. The grooves or edges on adjacent filters form channels of different sizes. All suspended solids with particle sizes larger than the channel size are blocked, achieving the filtration effect. This product can largely replace traditional mechanical filtration devices such as sand filtration. It has superior performance and consumes much less water and electricity than other products. The automatic backwashing disc filter is designed with different structural edges on both sides of the filter plate. These edges overlap to form a blocking surface. Among them, the curved edges mainly serve to block and store suspended matter. It adopts a slightly larger open design on the outside. During backwashing, the circular edge of the filter plate is relaxed to determine the filtration accuracy and form a water channel. The filter disc can provide a filtration accuracy of up to 5. When the raw water enters the middle of the secondary filter disc, it first flows along the curved edge into the disc, but upon careful observation, it cannot directly enter. At this point, it is the annular edge that plays a filtering and blocking role. Impurities smaller than the size of the annular edge groove can enter the curved edge leading to the interior along the annular edge, while larger impurities are blocked. The structure of the automatic backwashing disc filter also makes the backwashing process for decontamination simpler and easier. It does not require complex motors and drive mechanisms. Dirt can be removed from the filter element through a simple water flow. Its superior performance has shortened the backwashing time of the filter. In addition, since dirt is not only stored between the filter cup group and the housing, but also in large quantities inside the filter cup group, the filter can accommodate more dirt. Performance features 1. Filtration: Disc filter The filtration technology only allows particles with sensitive performance and particle size smaller than the required to enter the system, making it the most effective filtration system. There are various specifications such as 5, 10, 20, 55, 100, 130, 200, etc. Users can choose filter discs of different precision according to the requirements of water. The system's traffic can be flexibly adjusted as needed. 2. Standard modularization and space-saving: The system is based on standard disk filtering units and adopts a modular design. Users can make choices according to their needs, which is flexible, variable and highly compatible. The system is compact and occupies a very small area. It can be installed by making full use of c

The application of filtration equipment in micro-irrigation systems

Generally, a micro-irrigation system consists of three parts: the head hub composed of pumps, instruments, control valves and filters, the pipe network system composed of various main pipes, branch pipes and sub-pipes responsible for water transmission and distribution, and various types of emitters that directly supply water to the roots of crops. Among them, the emitters are the key equipment at the final stage of completing the irrigation task and are known as the heart of the micro-irrigation system. To ensure the normal operation of the emitters, the selection and working performance of the filtration equipment are of vital importance. If the wrong selection of the filtration equipment leads to the clogging of the emitters, it will cause uneven water distribution and a decline in system performance, and even result in the paralysis of the entire micro-irrigation system. In this case, a large amount of manpower and financial resources will have to be spent to remove the clogging or rebuild the system. There are the following types of filtration equipment: (1) Trash racks (screens) are mainly used in irrigation water sources such as rivers and ponds that contain large volumes of debris to intercept dead branches, leaves, weeds and other large floating objects, preventing debris from entering sedimentation tanks or reservoirs. The trash rack has a simple structure and can be designed and manufactured according to the actual situation of the water source. The primary trash screen (net) is a kind of grid-type trash screen installed at the inlet of the water pump in the water source, that is, the primary purification treatment facility. It is mainly used to block mud at water sources containing a large amount of aquatic plants, debris and algae, etc. (2) Sedimentation tank: The sedimentation tank is one of the primary treatment facilities for irrigation water quality purification. Although it is a simple and ancient water treatment method, it is an effective and economical way to solve the water quality purification problems of various water sources. The function of the sedimentation tank is manifested in two aspects; ① Remove solid substances present in the water. When there is too much sediment in the water, the screen filter and medium filter used will lose their function due to frequent flushing. In such cases, the sedimentation tank can play a primary filtration role. ② Remove iron substances. The carbon dioxide dissolved in groundwater escapes in the sedimentation tank due to the decrease in pressure and the increase in water temperature, causing the pH value of the water to rise and leading to the oxidation and precipitation of iron substances. (3) Centrifugal filters (also known as sand separators) are mainly used to remove sediment from well water. The working principle of a centrifugal filter is that the centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotating water flow separates sand particles and other heavier impurities from the water body. It has no filter screen inside and no detachable parts, making maintenance and upkeep very convenient. The sand accumulation chamber at the bottom of the centrifugal filter must be flushed frequently to prevent the accumulated sand and mud from being brought back into the system again. For organic matter or impurities with a specific gravity less than that of water, the separation effect of centrifugal filters is very poor. Only within a certain flow range can centrifugal filters play their due role in purifying water quality. (4) Sand and gravel filters are mainly used for the pre-filtration of organic matter in reservoirs, ponds, canals, rivers and other open water surface water sources. It uses sand and stones as the filtering medium. Sewage enters the filter tank through the inlet and then is intercepted and captured through the pores between the sand and stones to achieve the filtering purpose. The sand and gravel filter is reliable in filtration and has a high degree of cleanliness. Among all filters, the sand and gravel filter is the most effective in treating organic and inorganic impurities in water and can provide uninterrupted water supply. Whenever the organic matter content in water exceeds 10mg/L, regardless of the amount of inorganic matter, a sand and gravel filter should be selected. (5) Screen filter (also known as screen mesh filter) is a simple yet effective filtration device with a relatively low cost. It is the most widely used in irrigation systems both at home and abroad. Its filtering medium is nylon screen or stainless steel screen. It is mainly used to filter out powder particles, sand and scale and other contaminants in irrigation water. It can also be used to filter irrigation water containing a small amount of organic contaminants. However, when the organic matter content is slightly high, the filtration effect is very poor, especially when the pressure is large, a large amount of organic contaminants will squeeze through the
