What is the principle of the automatic backwashing disc filter?
The automatic backwashing disc filter, like other filters, is composed of a filter box and a filter. Filter materials are generally plastic, stainless steel or plastic-carbon steel, and come in various shapes. The filter is in the shape of a hollow cylinder, which is assembled on a central skeleton by multiple circular plastic fragments with micron-sized equilateral triangular grooves. In each filter unit, the stacks pressed by springs and water pressure form countless filters that impurities cannot pass through, with a total thickness equivalent to that of a 30-layer ordinary filter.
The principle of the automatic backwashing disc filter
The fully automatic stacked filter is equipped with an electronic control device, which can control all stages of backwashing by time intervals and pressure differences. Once set, it can be used for a long time. The automatic backwashing filter completes the entire automatic backwashing process within a few seconds without interrupting the business. Backwashing automatically starts at the set time or differential pressure signal. The backwashing valve changes the flow direction of the filter device. The spring of the filter is lifted upward by water pressure, and all the small holes between the discs are loosened. The nozzle located at the center of the filter screen sprays water in the tangential direction to rotate the plate. Under the action of water washing and high-speed rotating centrifugal force, the residual objects in the plate are cleaned. Therefore, a good cleaning effect can be achieved with less self-used water. Then, the backwash valve returns to the position of the filter, and the spring of the filter presses the plate again, returning to the filter state. The backwash water is all filtered water from the system.
The features of the automatic backwashing disc filter
An accurate filter can select filter plates of different precisions according to the requirements of water. Available in multiple specifications such as 20 microns, 55 microns, 100 microns, 130 microns, 200 microns, and 400 microns, with a filtration rate greater than 85%. Good backwashing can fully open the filter holes during backwashing and achieve a cleaning effect that other filters cannot reach through the centrifugal jet action. The cleaning process of each filter device is completed within 10 to 20 seconds. Fully automatic operation, continuous outflow time and differential pressure control for backwashing to start. Within the filtration system, backwashing is carried out in sequence among each filtration device and workstation. The automatic switching between working and backwashing states ensures continuous water output, reduces system pressure loss, and prevents the filtration and backwashing effects from deteriorating over time. The modular design enables users to select the parallelism, flexibility and interchangeability of the filter units as needed. It can flexibly utilize the corner space on site and occupy a relatively small area according to local conditions. It is easy to maintain, requiring almost no daily maintenance, inspection or special tools, and has almost no detachable parts
