The working principle of the automatic backwashing disc filter

The automatic backwashing disc filter is a self-cleaning filter that adopts multiple technologies. It is more water-saving and land-saving in installation and use, and requires less daily maintenance.

The design of the filter element without springs is adopted. The water pressure that flows back and forth skillfully during filtration is utilized to press the disc group, significantly reducing the pressure requirement for backwashing.

It is equipped with a built-in duckbill valve. The filter element ensures the maximum water output during filtration while also providing a good check valve function during backwashing.

The split-type filter element frame has the function of flexibly adjusting the height of the filter element and the filtration area according to the design requirements, and can meet the combination requirements of different systems.

Abandoning the design of commonly used metal hoops, the filter unit adopts a sealing ring with self-locking fasteners. The installation and disassembly of the filter unit shell are simple, and the sealing effect is good.

Each filtration unit is equipped with a status display device for filtration and backwashing as well as an automatic exhaust device, which can prevent damage from water hammer and improve the backwashing effect of the filtration elements at the same time.

The raw water flows from the outside to the inside when passing through the filter unit, and impurities larger than the tank are blocked from the outside.

The central component of the automatic backwashing disc filter is the overlapping plastic filter. The filter has grooves or edges. The grooves or edges on adjacent filters form channels of different sizes. All suspended solids with particle sizes larger than the channel size are blocked, achieving the filtration effect. This product can largely replace traditional mechanical filtration devices such as sand filtration. It has superior performance and consumes much less water and electricity than other products.

The automatic backwashing disc filter is designed with different structural edges on both sides of the filter plate. These edges overlap to form a blocking surface. Among them, the curved edges mainly serve to block and store suspended matter. It adopts a slightly larger open design on the outside. During backwashing, the circular edge of the filter plate is relaxed to determine the filtration accuracy and form a water channel. The filter disc can provide a filtration accuracy of up to 5.

When the raw water enters the middle of the secondary filter disc, it first flows along the curved edge into the disc, but upon careful observation, it cannot directly enter. At this point, it is the annular edge that plays a filtering and blocking role. Impurities smaller than the size of the annular edge groove can enter the curved edge leading to the interior along the annular edge, while larger impurities are blocked.

The structure of the automatic backwashing disc filter also makes the backwashing process for decontamination simpler and easier. It does not require complex motors and drive mechanisms. Dirt can be removed from the filter element through a simple water flow. The superior performance of the automatic backwashing disc filter shortens the backwashing time of the filter. In addition, since dirt is not only stored between the filter cup group and the housing, but also in large quantities inside the filter cup group, the filter can accommodate more dirt.
